Job summary

Lumafield is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer focused on On-Prem Systems in San Francisco, CA. You will own Voyager, our CT data platform, inside customer environments, tackling air-gapped constraints and edge compute needs.

This role blends architecture, prototyping, and production engineering in one position. In this in-person role, you will decide rack specs, performance targets, costs, and test procedures, driving from prototypes to repeatable production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and operating physical server infrastructure.
• Experience with Linux server administration and network troubleshooting.
• Experience automating workflows with Ansible and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design standalone On-Prem systems: compute nodes, storage topology, networking, power, and rack layout.
• Prototype and profile throughput, network bandwidth, and memory contention.
• Produce BOMs, wiring and rack diagrams, network/IP plans, and provisioning/test instructions.
