Job summary

Lumafield, a San Francisco-based innovator in industrial CT scanners, is hiring a Head of Software to own Voyager end-to-end. You will lead the software development teams and platform engineering, guiding cloud and edge compute, and scale a high-performance team in San Francisco as the company grows.

This hands-on leadership role demands ownership of architecture, delivery, security, and compliance while shaping the org to support strategic goals and exceptional customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Led multi-level software teams, including managers, through growth phases.
• Owned a production SaaS platform end-to-end: uptime, on-call, releases.
• Deep cloud infra and DevOps experience; able to review platform designs.
• Capable of deploying solutions in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Defines done, unblocks teams, and practices Radical Candor.

Responsibilities

• Align technical direction with business objectives and set priorities.
• Drive architecture and release work to solve customer problems.
• Scale Platform Engineering: CI/CD, observability, edge compute, cloud costs.
• Hire and develop the leadership layer under you.
• Set cadence and enforce commitments across engineering, product, and sales.
• Own software security and compliance posture: SBOM, vulnerabilities, reviews
