Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking an On-Orbit & Planning Engineer (Level 3 or 4) for the Execution Planning Team in Colorado Springs, CO. This onsite position demands a Bachelor's degree with appropriate experience and an active SCI clearance. Responsibilities include providing technical solutions, modeling risk-reduction activities, and supporting mission objectives.

Preferred candidates will have experience in RPO missions and scripting tools. Benefits include health coverage, PTO, and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year.
• Active Top‑Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
• Experience in RPO missions with knowledge of operations and planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions to Mission Execution Planning Team.
• Contribute to design and execution of mission enabling risk‑reduction activities.
• Model and simulate risk‑reduction activities and generate reports.

Skills

Understanding of rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO)

Experience operating satellite systems

Scripting languages and modeling tools (e.g., STK, Freeflyer, Python)
