Job summary

Sammons Industrial, LLC is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician II (Heavy Line) to diagnose, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment at customer sites or in the shop. You will work on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and lifting components with focus on safe, reliable operation.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in heavy equipment repair, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment including engines and hydraulics.
• Ability to follow safety, OSHA and DOT requirements and maintain records.
• Will travel to customer sites and work in shop settings with on-call schedule as needed.

Your skills, dedication, and commitment to doing the job right will make a real difference every day. ## What You’ll Do* Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting components.* Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, major component repairs, and basic welding to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.* Deliver dependable service at customer locations and in the shop while maintaining accurate service records, organized tools and parts, and a safe, well-maintained company vehicle.* Put safety first by following company procedures and OSHA and DOT requirements, completing technical training, and supporting teammates and service leadership. ## What You’ll Bring* At least 3 years of experience repairing heavy equipment, material handling equipment, or similar machinery, along with strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.* A high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and certification on at least 65% of the designated product line. Technical school training and technician certifications are a plus.* The ability to use precision measuring tools, perform hands-on repairs, lift up to 75 pounds, and provide your own tools. Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.* A customer-first attitude, clear communication, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality.
