Job summary

Briggs Industrial Solutions is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician II to diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment. You will perform maintenance, inspections, and rebuilds, while delivering exceptional on-site service at customer locations or in the shop.

You will follow safety standards, complete ongoing training, and support a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. Travel to customer sites and on-call duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years forklift repair or related equipment experience.
• High school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and Briggs Equipment product-line certification (65%+).
• Willing to travel to customer sites and work in shop, with on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild forklifts and material handling equipment, including engines and hydraulics.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and major component repairs.
• Provide excellent service at customer locations or in the shop with accurate records and a clean vehicle.
• Follow safety standards, OSHA/DOT requirements, and ongoing training; support a safety-driven team culture.

More than fixing equipment, you'll build trust through honest work, quality service, and a commitment to safety. ## What You’ll Do* Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild forklifts and material handling equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting components.* Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, major component repairs, and basic welding to keep equipment running safely and reliably.* Provide excellent service at customer locations or in the shop while maintaining accurate service records, organized parts and tools, and a clean, safe company vehicle.* Follow company safety standards and OSHA and DOT requirements, complete ongoing technical training, and support a team culture built on safety, accountability, and helping one another succeed. ## What You’ll Bring* At least 3 years of forklift repair or related equipment experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and solve technical problems.* A high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and certification on at least 65% of the Briggs Equipment product line. Trade school training and Hyster-Yale technician certifications are a plus.* Experience using precision measuring tools, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and your own tools. Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.* A strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and a safety-first mindset.
