Job summary

Briggs Industrial Solutions, Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician II to diagnose, repair, and rebuild forklifts and material handling equipment at customer sites or in our shop.

You will perform preventive maintenance and major repairs, follow safety standards, and maintain accurate records. The role requires at least 3 years of forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, Briggs product line certification, and potentially Hyster-Yale certifications.

Qualifications

• Three years forklift repair or related equipment experience.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to diagnose problems.
• High school diploma or GED with valid driver’s license; Briggs product line certification required (65%).
• Trade school training and Hyster-Yale certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild forklifts and material handling equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, major component repairs, and basic welding to keep equipment running safely and reliably.
• Provide excellent service at customer locations or in the shop with accurate service records, organized parts and tools, and a clean, safe company vehicle.
• Follow company safety standards and OSHA/DOT requirements, complete ongoing technical training, and support a team culture built on safety.

Trade school training and Hyster-Yale technician certifications are a plus.Experience using precision measuring tools, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and your own tools. Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.A strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and a safety-first mindset.
