Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking two hands-on Manufacturing Test & Debug Engineers/Technicians to support the setup, ramp-up, and ongoing operation of our electronics manufacturing and test line in Austin, Texas. The role focuses on keeping the line running, rapidly identifying issues, and maintaining high yield and equipment availability.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot at PCB/PCBA, component, fixture, cabling, instrumentation, and test-station levels and support transitions from NPI to stable

Qualifications

• Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams is required.
• Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment and debugging.
• Experience in electronic manufacturing or production test environments.
• Ability to identify root causes and perform fault isolation.
• Familiarity with calibration, maintenance, and test station upkeep.
• Strong troubleshooting in fast-paced production settings.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, qualify, ramp-up, and operate manufacturing and test stations.
• Provide hands-on engineering support on the production floor.
• Troubleshoot and debug RF and mixed-signal boards.
• Diagnose failures at board, component, connector, and test-station levels.
• Analyze failures and drive corrective actions to improve FPY and yield.
• Document failures, root causes, and actions; transition from NPI to production.
