Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to monitor and measure products on the plant floor in Holland, MI. You will perform quality checks, verify first-piece approval, and support containment actions to prevent defective parts from shipping.

The role involves using Plex ERP, gages, and precision measuring tools daily. Daily duties include conducting Layered Process Audits, maintaining a safe and clean workspace, and completing production paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing quality inspection preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret work instructions and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and gauge parts to ensure conformance to customer specs.
• Verify first piece inspection and approval per process.
• Support containment actions for nonconforming parts and assist in root cause prevention.
• Perform Layered Process Audits (LPA) and document findings.
• Ensure proper packing per packaging instructions and maintain tidy work area.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for production records.
