Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to partner with Production Leaders in improving safety, quality, reliability, and performance in a high-speed manufacturing area. The role focuses on hands-on support, data-driven problem solving, and CI leadership on the factory floor across multiple shifts.

The ideal candidate has a technical engineering background and 3+ years in manufacturing or CI, with experience in Lean, data analysis, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to manufacturing preferred.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, engineering, continuous improvement, or ops
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of Lean, CI, and problem-solving methods
• Experience using data and root-cause analysis to drive results
• Familiarity with FMOS, MSE, or similar systems preferred
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent is a plus
• Strong communication and coaching skills across functions
• Ability to work on the production floor ~70% of time
• Ability to support multi-shift operations and changing priorities

Responsibilities

• Partner with Production Leader to improve safety, quality, reliability, cost and performance
• Lead Daily Area Value Stream meetings and Daily Direction Setting
• Analyze production data to identify gaps, losses, and improvement opportunities
• Lead root-cause analysis and develop action plans to eliminate losses
• Own and strengthen Daily Management Systems and related routines
• Lead autonomous maintenance improvement teams to reduce downtime
• Establish and maintain operating standards for consistency
• Coach leaders, CI specialists, technicians, and associates on problem solving
• Support MSE pillar analytics, standards, and capability building
• Support commissioning, validation, and startup activities for capital projects
• Provide guidance to Continuous Improvement Specialists
• Champion Mars safety, quality, and regulatory standards
