Job summary

Goldfish Swim School seeks a Manager on Duty (MOD) to lead operations during shifts, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and an exceptional guest experience. The MOD reports to the GM/AGM and supervises instructors, lifeguards, and front desk staff while upholding the Goldfish curriculum and standards.

This leadership role requires a high school diploma, 30+ hours/week, swim-school certifications, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must maintain an average of 30 scheduled hours per week.
• Be in good standing with Goldfish Swim School.
• Complete Goldfish Swim School Deck Supervisor training.
• Obtain and maintain Goldfish Lifeguard Certification.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the Goldfish curriculum and swimmer progression.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability and leadership.
• Approval from GM and Regional Manager.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site leader when the GM/AGM is unavailable.
• Support daily operations and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Lead by example while coaching instructors, deck supervisors, lifeguards, and front desk staff.
• Make sound decisions and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve member concerns.
• Coach team members and reinforce Goldfish standards.
• Support staff development and foster a positive team culture.
• Help ensure lessons are delivered consistently according to the Goldfish curriculum.
