Gilbride Management Group (GMG) in Alabama seeks a Manager on Duty to lead daily operations at Goldfish Swim School. This role involves overseeing the pool deck and front desk, ensuring compliance with safety and service standards, and coaching staff. Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage customer interactions. Certification in Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid is required within 90 days of hire, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience as a swim instructor, deck supervisor, or front desk leader preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the leader on duty during assigned shifts and oversees pool and front desk operations.
• Ensures compliance with all Goldfish Swim School safety, operational, and customer service standards.
• Supports and coaches swim instructors, deck supervisors, and front desk staff.
• Ensures proper staffing, rotations, and lesson flow on the pool deck.
• Maintains working knowledge of pool chemistry, pump room operations, and emergency procedures.
• Handles parent/guardian questions, concerns, and escalations.
• Oversees front desk operations including scheduling, billing questions, and customer interactions.
• Reinforces sales and service expectations and supports enrollment efforts.
• Completes shift reports and communicates operational updates to management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
