Job summary

Pafford EMS in Yazoo City, MS seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead Advanced Life Support operations across assigned field units. You will supervise staff, coordinate interagency communications, and ensure compliance with policies and quality standards.

Responsibilities include incident investigation, staffing and resource management, disaster response readiness, and reporting to the Director of Operations. A Paramedic license and leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be Station Captain
• Unrestricted Paramedic Licensure/Certification
• CPR for Health Care Provider (AHA/ASHI/ECSI) and ACLS/PALS required
• CEVO or EVOC completed
• Knowledge of EMS street systems and equipment
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Professional and objective approach to care

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, efficient Advanced Life Support to ill and injured.
• Direct, monitor, and evaluate field employees in the area.
• Liaise with patients, public safety agencies, training institutions, hospital personnel, and other system users.
• Maintain quality field operations through daily oversight and evaluation.
• Reconcile PCRs and field paperwork daily with processing.
• Close operational exceptions with appropriate action.
• Mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, counseling and development.
• Investigate incidents and file reports; counsel staff as needed.
• Maintain staffing, equipment, and medical supplies for field units.
• Enforce company policies and standards; ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with other agencies; participate in policy-setting committees.
• Prepare reports and manage projects as directed by Operations Manager.
• Remain available during disasters or mass casualty incidents.
• Attend required meetings and stay compliant with laws and policies.
• Direct PEMS resources during mass casualty/disaster operations.
• Champion affirmative action and staff development across the team.
• Prepare employee evaluations and field crew contact reports.
• Ensure compliance with Pafford Policies & Procedures; state/federal rules.
• May perform related duties and follow the five daily directives.
