Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May consider associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's.
• May consider high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Able to obtain a Tier 2 background investigation.
• Able to pass the OCI disclosures process.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials and curricula.
• Coordinate and conduct Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Provide virtual counseling via web-based or video communications as needed.
• Follow DoD protocol for duty-to-warn and coordinate with leadership.
• Participate in supervision, training, and contract activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
