Job summary

Target is hiring an On-Demand Team Member to support guest services across the store with flexible hours and shift-based work. You can work as much or as little as you like by picking up shifts through the myTime app, with attendance and reliability key to success.

As a Guest Advocate, you will greet guests, assist with product questions, process checkouts, and help with loyalty programs and services including Drive-Up and Order Pick Up. Training is provided and you’ll join a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
• Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
• Be familiar with all fulfillment services and how to enroll, activate and use them.
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed.
• Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and the Target App features.
• Handle returns by following register prompts and escalate with leaders as needed.
• Partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
• Deliver accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Support OPU and Drive-Up services and maintain compliance with policies and laws.
• Support Cash Office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
• All other duties based on business needs
