Job summary

Nevada System of Higher Education’s CSN West Charleston Campus is offering a part-time Work Study position for the Fall 2026 term. Employees will greet students, manage sign-in, and coordinate tutors in the Learning Commons while handling phones, data entry, and basic administrative tasks.

Ideal candidates are punctual, reliable, and possess strong communication and typing skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office. A commitment to a diverse, multicultural environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
• Able to follow directions and communicate well.
• Have good typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
• Good overall understanding of diverse multicultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Greet students and help them sign in.
• Check sign-in sheets and distribute to Tutors/Assistants.
• Maintain rotation of tutors in the Learning Commons.
• Answer phones professionally and respond to questions.
• Enter data into the computer.
• Assist Administrative Assistants and file documents.
• Keep workspace clean and organized; make copies and scan documents.
• Work on special projects during free time.
