Job summary

CSN is seeking Sociology instructors to teach on-campus courses at multiple Las Vegas area campuses. Courses will mostly be introductory SOC 101 to support the Sociology AA and Gen Ed requirements across programs.

Instructors will design syllabi, teach live on-campus, evaluate student performance, and maintain records with department guidance. A Master's in Sociology (or related with 18 graduate hours) is required; CANVAS LMS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Sociology or related field with 18 graduate credit hours in Sociology.
• Experience teaching College Sociology or related courses.
• Experience with CANVAS or other learning management systems.
• Skills in the use and operation of basic computer software.

Responsibilities

• Teach live on-campus Sociology courses (SOC 101) and develop syllabi.
• Maintain records, submit grades, and communicate with department staff.
• Evaluate student performance and align with course outcomes.
• Meet assessment guidelines and provide course materials.
