University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Student Assistant in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering. The position is on the UT Main Campus with a 10-hour weekly schedule and an immediate start date during normal business hours.

The role supports shipping/receiving, inventory, business, and administrative operations and is renewable for the summer term upon satisfactory performance.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled full-time at UT Austin as an undergraduate student.
• Good academic standing.
• Demonstrate communication skills, helpful attitude and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Receive packages delivered to the department and notify recipients in a timely manner.
• Assist ChE faculty, staff and researchers with outgoing shipments.
• Sort incoming mail; scan inventory tags for department-owned equipment.
• Assist with scanning, filing, and general organizational tasks.
