Job summary

El Paso Community College is seeking a history instructor to teach on-campus, develop curricula, and advise students. The candidate will ensure syllabi alignment, maintain office hours, and participate in departmental governance, committees, and program development. Willingness to work across campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in History or 18 graduate semester hours in History.
• Experience teaching in the discipline.
• Experience/ability to teach at the community college level.
• Experience/ability to incorporate technology into the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person on campus following the College's philosophy and objectives.
• Adhere to approved syllabi and provide the course syllabus by the end of the first week of classes.
• Use inclusive teaching methods to reach students of varying backgrounds and assess progress.
• Develop and revise curriculum and assist in textbook selection; evaluate outcomes.
• Post office hours and serve as academic advisor; supervise student activities and evaluation submissions.
