Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Philosophy or 18 graduate semester hours in Philosophy required.
- Experience teaching in the discipline.
- Experience/ability to teach at the community college level.
- Experience/ability to incorporate technology into the classroom.
- Possesses extensive online teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction on campus according to College philosophy and objectives.
- Adhere to approved syllabi and inform students of course requirements and evaluation methods.
- Develop and revise curriculum and instructional materials; submit syllabi by end of first week of classes.
- Post and maintain office hours; serve as academic advisor and lead student activities.
- Participate in division/college committees and governance; collaborate with faculty to achieve departmental goals.
- Assist in faculty selection and professional development; contribute to college governance.
