Milton Hershey School (MHS) is hiring full-time Flex Houseparents to reside on-campus and care for groups of 8-13 students. The role emphasizes supervision, mentoring, and guiding academic, emotional, and social development within a family-like home environment.

Two-person couples, legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, are required. The package includes salary per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, training, and PTO, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol during duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities with students.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
