The University of Iowa Parking & Transportation department seeks a Parking Maintenance Worker I to assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing parking equipment and signage across campus. The role supports safety and cleanliness in ramps, lots, and pedestrian areas and responds to equipment malfunctions.

Two shifts are available on campus with overtime for events and seasonal operations. A valid driver’s license is required, and background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience with comparable equipment (electrical and mechanical).
• Possession of a current, valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Assist in installation, maintenance, and minor repair of parking equipment and facilities.
• Constructs and installs traffic, parking, and related signs.
• Maintain safety, readiness, and cleanliness of parking ramps, surface lots, and pedestrian areas.
• Respond to jams and malfunctions of revenue/control equipment and software.
• Clean, paint, and perform minor surface repair of parking lots.
