Job summary

Harvey Mudd College invites applications for a Retail – Junior Cook. The role involves producing, preparing, and serving hot and cold foods for Dining Services, through a variety of stations and services.

You will also cashier, assist in catering, and support event setups across multiple dining locations. The position requires at least one year of high-volume food service experience, basic culinary training, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary training is desirable.
• Minimum of one year of paid employment experience in high-volume food service.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and safety guidelines.
• Assist with various dining service stations and barista duties.
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of counters, stations, and equipment.
• Assist with catering and event setup as needed.
