Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks dedicated Flex Houseparents (couples) to live on campus in student homes and supervise a group of 8-13 students. The position requires married couples, a strong commitment to youth development, and the ability to manage daily routines and activities while maintaining a supportive, faith-aligned environment.

Hershey, PA-based role offers housing, meals on duty, comprehensive benefits, and paid training.

Qualifications

Experience working or volunteering with youth.
Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
Campus is smoke-free and weapons-free; no alcohol on duty.
Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
Managing household routines and student schedules.
Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental/recreational activities.
Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
