Job summary

Lehman College seeks a College Laboratory Technician to support the Exercise Sciences and Recreation labs. This full-time role maintains the Human Performance and Fitness lab, helps students set up experiments, and ensures equipment safety and compliance with OSHA standards.

The CLT will manage supplies, equipment servicing, and integrate technology into teaching and research. Candidates need a high school diploma with extensive related experience; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with a minimum of eight years related experience.
• Associate degree may substitute for two years experience; bachelor’s for four years.
• Ability to direct, train, and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintains, and organizes student laboratories.
• Assist students with experiments and equipment and with safety and handling.
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards and required documentation.
• Manage laboratory supplies, ordering consumables, and coordinating servicing.
• Maintain inventory of exercise equipment and logs for lab operations.
• Support hands-on labs and use of lab equipment for research and teaching.
