The Department of Exercise Sciences and Recreation invites applications for a full-time College Laboratory Technician (CLT) position beginning Spring 2027. Candidates must have a strong commitment to Exercise Physiology with respect to running the Human Performance and Fitness laboratory. Candidate will be expected to perform the following:
The Department of Exercise Sciences and Recreation is currently housed in the School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing (HS2N). The School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing currently includes six departments: Exercise Sciences and Recreation, Health Administration Research Technology, Health Promotion and Nutrition Sciences, Social Work; Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, and Nursing. HS2N is also home to the CUNY Institute for Health Equity. Departments in HS2N actively engage with community and government partners to support evidence-based practices and health equity, with a special emphasis on urban populations. The faculty are also strongly committed to high-quality teaching and preparation of ethical and skilled health and human service professionals.
The Lehman College campus is located in the Bronx, New York and is a Senior College within the City University of New York (CUNY) system. Lehman is the only four-year public college
in the Bronx and is recognized as a Hispanic-serving Institution. The college serves mainly undergraduate students preparing them for employment, the professions and further study. This

College Laboratory Technician

High School Diploma with a minimum of eight years' related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an associate's degree may be substituted for two years' experience and a bachelor’s degree may be substituted for four years' experience. This position also requires the ability to direct, train, and supervise others.
$74,165-76,761
Salaries are commensurate with education and relevant experience and are subject to the Professional Staff Congress-CUNY salary schedule (http://www.psc-cuny.org/contract/psccuny-contract-salary-schedule)
