Responsibilities include handling cash, operating card readers and registers, and assisting customers with a friendly, efficient service approach. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Cashier Training Class and passing score on final test.
• Must read and comprehend policies for safety, procedures, and University guidelines.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Count, wrap, and verify money; keep reports secure.
• Open on time and maintain published meal service hours.
• Log cash transactions accurately on electronic terminals.
• Prepare a manual form to report sales and reconcile overages/shortages.
• Interact with customers quickly and pleasantly; address concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain cash terminal, scales, and equipment; report malfunctions.
• Keep cashier area clean and organized and ensure attractive displays.
• Enforce dining rules and report violations to management.
• Assist with cleaning, serving, events, and related tasks as needed.
