Job summary

High Tech High Expanded Learning Programs are seeking an Assistant Coordinator to provide direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director and to mentor, tutor, and lead activities for students on campus.

The role emphasizes coordinating curriculum, outreach to families, supervision of learners, and potential succession as second in charge when needed. This is an on-site, in-person position at the school.

Qualifications

• Mentor and tutor students in afterschool/expanded learning programs.
• Lead or assist in planning enrichment activities and sports programs.
• Communicate effectively with families and school staff.
• Provide a safe, engaging environment for learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach and communication to families.
• Serve as direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director.
• May serve as second in charge in the absence of the Aftercare Coordinator/Director.
• Supervise school-aged children indoors and outdoors.
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and organized environment for the students.
• Take attendance to ensure all students are accounted for.
• Plan, develop, and facilitate engaging student activities.
• Assist students with learning activities and homework assignments.
• Understand and implement emergency procedures, including safety protocols.
