Job summary

Washington State University Tri-Cities is seeking an Academic Advisor to provide holistic academic guidance to undergraduates across the Carson College of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences. You will help students set academic and career goals, navigate degree requirements, and connect with internships, study abroad, and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience with students in an educational setting (Master’s may substitute for 1 year).
• Experience with academic or career advising and applying academic rules/regulations.
• Experience with student records systems (PeopleSoft or Banner).
• Experience using MS Office and Zoom/Teams apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic academic advising to undergraduates in Carson College of Business and College of Arts & Sciences.
• Assist with course selection and registration; monitor academic progress.
• Support student success programming, workshops, and retention initiatives.
• Engage in recruitment, retention, and degree completion efforts at WSU Tri-Cities.
