Washington State University’s Carson College of Business seeks a Career Consultant to prepare undergraduate business students for successful careers through individualized and group advising. You will help students explore options, develop job search strategies, and build professional skills that translate classroom learning into workplace readiness.

The role involves delivering innovative, business-focused programming, collaborating with employer relations managers, and supporting recruitment

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; 3 years in student services or related fields.
Master's degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.
Experience advising, coaching, mentoring, or supporting college students.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to coach professional communication (resumes, letters, interviews).
Experience delivering presentations, workshops, or educational programming.
Ability to build relationships in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

Advise students on career options and job/internship search strategies.
Design and deliver career-focused programming and workshops.
Collaborate with employer relations managers to align advising with workforce needs.
Lead initiatives to enhance career readiness and onboarding efforts.
Support recruitment across the college and contribute to student success.
