Job summary

City of White Settlement is seeking a Water Technician to maintain the water production and distribution system under supervision. The role requires on-call work, including evenings and weekends, with cross-training opportunities across Public Works.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Texas class C driver license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain groundwater well sites, pump stations, and water distribution to ensure safe, compliant water.
• Fix and test fire hydrants and water meters; investigate leaks.
• Periodically inspect groundwater wells and record data (meters, gauges).
• Maintain and repair water lines; perform preventive and restorative maintenance on pumping/storage equipment.
