Job summary

National Water Services in Boston, MA is seeking a dedicated Water Filtration Technician for on-call, as-needed work. You will perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on water dispensing cabinets, ensuring quality service to store partners.

Candidates should have knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, be able to read gauges and meters, and work independently with reliable transportation and tools. This is a 1099 contractor role with pay of $45–$55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Need to use a smartphone and email for reporting.
• Must be able to travel to on-site locations and bring tools.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with customers and store management.
• Provide preventative maintenance and repairs on water cabinets.
• Perform filter replacements, UV lamp installations, battery changes, upgrades.
• Read pressure gauges and meters; detect leaks; use multimeters.
• Address repair needs including leaks, fittings, valves, wiring, components.
• Occasionally respond to emergency service calls within 24–48 hours.
• Submit all required paperwork for payment processing.
