Job summary

National Water Services in Logan, UT seeks a dedicated Service Technician to perform preventative and emergency maintenance on water dispensing cabinets on site. The role requires strong plumbing, electrical, and mechanical skills, plus the ability to work independently at customer locations.

The position is a 1099 independent contractor with on-call duties and no benefits. You will document work for payment, manage requests, and coordinate repairs with store contacts as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
• Own smartphone and email reporting proficiency.
• Physically capable: bend, squat, climb stairs or ladders as needed.
• English communication skills.
• Have own transportation and tools for on-site visits.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with customers and store management through effective communication.
• Provide exceptional customer service during visits.
• Perform proactive maintenance such as filter replacements, UV lamp installations, battery changes, and upgrades.
• Read and report on pressure gauges, flow meters, leaks; use multi-meters and conduct water tests.
• Address repairs including leaks, fittings, valves, tubing, wiring and components.
• Be available for occasional emergency service calls; respond within 24–48 hours.
• Complete paperwork for payment processing.
