Job summary

Inframark is hiring a Wastewater Operator I to oversee operation and maintenance of equipment at the wastewater facility in Gilbert, AZ. Responsibilities include running pumps, valves, disinfection gear, monitoring wells, and performing routine lab analyses.

The role requires flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call emergencies, plus a high school diploma or GED and relevant licenses or coursework. CDL preferred and operator licenses vary by site.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study prerequisites to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.
• Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment.
• Knowledge of regulatory rules is essential.
• Previous water or wastewater treatment experience desirable.
• Completion of water or wastewater courses is very desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and vehicles.
• Performs routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of wells and unit processes; conducts basic laboratory analyses.
• Documents treatment process performance, daily flow, and chemical usage.
• Responds to call outs and emergencies to repair equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensures facilities are clean, neat and secure; provides customer service when needed.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call.
