Job summary

South Western Communications (SWC) is seeking a Technician 1 to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic communication systems, including VOIP and data networks. You will read wiring diagrams, install equipment, and train customers on usage, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance. Some out-of-town travel may be required.

Reports to the Project Manager. Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt with full benefits including 401k.

Qualifications

• 2-year electronics degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with VoIP, telephony, and data networks.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic communication systems.
• Program final hookup of electronics equipment for new jobs.
• Respond to service issues promptly and document readings.
• Train customers on proper use of equipment.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ensure safety compliance and represent SWC on-site when PM unavailable.
