Job summary

Yakama Nation seeks an On-Call Assistant Prosecutor to provide professional prosecutorial services in tribal, state, and federal courts. The role defends treaty rights and Yakama sovereignty, with duties including case preparation, research, and courtroom advocacy.

Qualifications

  • Pass pre-employment drug/test and background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Prosecute criminal and civil matters before Yakama Nation Tribal courts.
  • Coordinate with Yakama Nation Tribal Police and other jurisdictions.
  • Prepare complaints, motions and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex cases.
