Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation seeks an Associate Judge for the Tribal Court, Department of Justice Services. The role involves presiding over Adult, Juvenile, and Appellate cases, interpreting the Revised Yakama Codes and related laws, and issuing writs, orders and opinions as needed.

• Knowledge of Yakama Nation laws and federal law.
• Ability to perform complex legal research and render fair decisions.

Responsabilités

• Preside over tribal court cases (Adult, Juvenile, Appellate) interpreting Yakama laws.
• Issue writs, orders, decrees, judgments, and memorandums as required.
• Conduct legal research and render timely, clear, and impartial decisions.
• Maintain judicial demeanor and manage stressful, fast-paced court proceedings.
