Job summary

Women Helping Women (WHW) is seeking an on-call Crisis Intervention Advocate to support survivors of domestic violence across Hamilton County. WHW provides 24/7 on-call crisis intervention, information, and referrals in collaboration with police agencies.

You will work within a survivor-centered, trauma-informed framework, ensuring timely on-site advocacy, thorough documentation, and compassionate support to those in need.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Commitment to survivor-centered, trauma-informed principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High School diploma and at least 18 years old.
• Ability to respond within 25 minutes or less (10–15 miles) in designated service areas.

Responsibilities

• Respond on scene alongside law enforcement within 25 minutes to provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support.
• Provide trauma-informed support, validating the survivor’s experience while empowering informed decisions.
• Bridge between law enforcement and survivors, prioritizing survivor needs and voices during the response.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly while maintaining survivor confidentiality.
