Job description

Join to apply for the On-Call Sr. Master Electrician role at WSP in the U.S.

WSP is seeking On-Call Sr. Master Electricians to work out of various offices including Jacksonville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Dallas, TX; and Houston, TX. Be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and help meet client objectives and solve challenges.

This is an on-call position, requiring availability to deploy with little or no notice for potentially long durations, not a full-time role. Learn more about our Federal Programs Team here.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Manage and lead electrical teams in disaster response and recovery efforts nationwide and in US territories.
  2. Oversee on-site duties including logistics, supply, and resource management.
  3. Attend periodic training to maintain deployment eligibility.
  4. Support emergency management project functions.
  5. Make responsible decisions regarding company resources and adhere to WSP’s policies.
  6. Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • 11+ years relevant experience, including 2+ years in emergency standby generator installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of emergency power standards, procedures, and systems.
  • Master Journeyman Electrical License/Certification, DOD AT1, First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA 10.
  • Experience with emergency response during disasters involving power and O&M services.
  • Ability to inspect electrical installations and enforce safety standards.
  • FEMA IS-100/102/200/700/800/815 certifications.
  • Ability to travel and deploy on short notice for up to 30 days.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NFPA 70e Certification or equivalent.
Compensation and Benefits

Expected hourly rate: $45.00 - $50.00/hour.
