Job summary

Our House GA is seeking a Residential Specialist for on-call shifts at the Atlanta shelter. You will help maintain safety, support families, assist with meals and daily operations, monitor the facility, reinforce shelter policies, and keep common areas clean and organized to create a stable, welcoming environment.

The role requires 1–3 years in a residential or social service setting, a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid and ServSafe certifications, and the ability to respond calmly to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a residential program serving families or a comparable social service setting required.
• Basic Food Preparation and Service Skills required.
• CPR/First Aid certification and ServSafe certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shelter operations during shifts to ensure resident safety.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs and monitor resident entry/exit to maintain security.
• Enforce shelter rules and complete nightly in/out logs.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and notify the Shelter Director as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and distribution to residents.
• Document shift activities and resident concerns accurately.
