Job summary

Distinction LLC in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a part-time, on-call security professional to support the Job Corps Center.

This hourly, non-exempt role focuses on enforcing laws, safeguarding students and staff, and modeling professional conduct in line with the eight Career Success Standards. Responsibilities include patrolling, responding to incidents, assisting visitors, conducting safety checks, and coordinating with local law enforcement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years experience in law enforcement, security and/or public safety.

Responsibilities

• Enforces all authorized laws, rules, and regulations.
• Patrols assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and/or persons.
• Aids and assists visitors, students, and staff.
• Performs building security and safety checks.
• Receives complaints and makes appropriate preliminary investigations.
• Maintains harmonious relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
