Job summary

Distinction, LLC operates the St. Louis Job Corps Center in Missouri and seeks a dedicated Safety & Security leader. You will supervise the department, develop 24/7 coverage plans, ensure OSHA-compliant safety practices, and mentor staff to uphold the eight Career Success Standards.

You’ll work closely with the Center Director and engage with law enforcement as needed, coordinating safety programs, drills, and incident reporting to maintain a safe, constructive environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, police science or related field.
• Three to five years work-related supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Safety & Security Department.
• Develop staff schedules for 24/7 coverage and provide training.
• Maintain Center Safety Plan and emergency/disaster plans.
• Establish safety policies and conduct drills and risk assessments.
• Prepare reports for management, insurers, DOL, and headquarters.
• Coordinate transportation and manage center facilities safety compliance.
