Job summary

Distinction LLC is seeking a Safety and Security Associate to transport students and ensure safe operations at the St. Louis Job Corps Center in Missouri. The role involves driving students and staff to locations, performing vehicle safety checks, and enforcing center policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year’s work-related experience.
• Valid State driver’s license and Commercial Driver’s License in the state of employment with Passenger endorsement and an acceptable driving record; or the ability to obtain such license.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports students by bus and automobile to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc.
• Ensure all vehicles are equipped with fire extinguishers, emergency warning lights, roadside flares/reflectors, emergency contact numbers, and well maintained first-aid kits.
• Enforces all authorized laws, rules, and regulations.
• Patrols assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
• Aids and assists visitors, students, and staff.
• Performs building security and safety checks.
• Receives complaints and makes appropriate preliminary investigations.
• Assists with accident investigations and reporting as directed.
