Job summary

DPI Security is seeking an on-call Security Officer to serve as a Facility Entrance Screener in the Astoria area. The role requires dependable, customer-service oriented individuals who can cover shifts during full-time officers’ absences.

Compensation is $21 per hour with potential benefits after 60 days for eligible employees. Responsibilities include site security coverage, reporting incidents, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of customer service or security experience.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a GED or High School Diploma.
• Must have or obtain Oregon DPSST Certification (training may be provided).
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
• Strong writing and documentation abilities in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide security coverage on customer property per site Post Orders during absences.
• Observe and report unlawful or inappropriate activity per contract requirements.
• Manage emergency situations and report as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation of security tours and incident reports.
• Perform all work at DPI Security Services contract site to ensure customer satisfaction.
