Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Riderwood community in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a FLEX/ON-CALL Security and Emergency Services Officer to support the SES program under supervision. You will perform patrols, respond to non-emergency service calls, and provide relief staffing at the gatehouse, helping ensure resident safety and community security.

Requirements include being at least 18, holding a valid driver's license, and prior security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Prior experience in security preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and visitors.
• On-call schedule flexibility; hours may vary.
• Night/Weekend/Holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine interior and exterior patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Provide relief staffing at the gatehouse.
• Respond to non-emergency service calls and dispatches.
• Assist in community emergencies (fires, severe weather, evacuations).
• Document incidents, visitors, vendors, and parking instructions.
