Job summary

Sunnyside School District in Sunnyside, Washington seeks a Substitute School Nurse (RN) to support student health services on an on-call basis. The nurse will administer first aid, medications, and implement care plans under the District RN, following school policies and state regulations.

Required: WA RN license, high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid/AED, and background clearance. Position reports to the Building Principal or District RN and pays $36.56 per day based on a 7.0-hour day.

Qualifications

• Must upload a copy of high school diploma, GED, or unofficial transcripts.
• RN License required.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification are required.
• Washington State ESA certificate and background clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate health records for students.
• Administer first aid and medications as prescribed.
• Follow student health plans and 504 plans.
• Coordinate with the District RN and school staff on health issues.
• Provide care during on-call/as-needed health events.
