Job summary

Salt Creek School District 48 is seeking a Substitute Registered Nurse to join the health office. The role requires an active RN/BSN/PEL-CSN license and CPR/AED certifications, with preference for experience in school and community health nursing.

The position is on-site and pays $175 per day. The substitute RN will monitor health office operations, respond to routine and emergency health needs, and maintain student health records while administering medications as necessary.

Qualifications

• Current RN, BSN, or PEL-CSN licensure.
• Certifications for CPR/AED.
• Experience in school nursing and community health nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and facilitate the health office functions
• Address routine and emergency health situations in the health office and school building
• Assess the health needs of students, administering first aid when necessary
• Maintain required health records and student health data
• Administer medication
• Perform general office duties such as word processing, operating office machines, handling telephone calls, filling staff requests, delivering messages and entering computer data
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school nurse, principal, or administration
