Job summary

Aberdeen School District in Aberdeen, WA is seeking a substitute custodian to support daily facility needs, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Under supervision, you will perform cleaning tasks, handle routine maintenance, and secure buildings after hours. This on-call role requires reliability, good communication, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Pass a WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance (applicant's expense).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, spot clean, and maintain carpeted areas.
• Clean and sanitize lavatories, refill dispensers, clean windows and dispose of trash.
• Lock/unlock buildings and secure facilities when not in use.
• Follow safe workplace practices and proper chemical storage usage.
• Organize time and coordinate with staff to meet schedules.
