Job summary

Mineral Wells ISD seeks a Tradesman Plumber to join the maintenance team in Mineral Wells, TX. The role requires a valid plumbing license and a minimum of two years in plumbing trades, with experience in school districts preferred.

You will perform preventative maintenance, install and repair plumbing systems across district facilities, and collaborate with staff to ensure safe, reliable facilities. On-call nights and weekends are included in duties.

Qualifications

• Driver license required.
• 2+ years of applicable trade experience.
• Tradesman Plumbing License required.
• Drain Cleaning endorsement preferred.
• Certifications as applicable.
• Experience with public school districts or colleges/universities preferred.
• Bilingual is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Opens sewer lines to restrooms, shop areas, kitchens, and water fountains repairing fittings, lines, valves and other plumbing fixtures.
• Responsible for completing preventative maintenance on plumbing fixtures, equipment and related piping systems.
• Assists in the preparation of gas inspection in accordance with plumbing codes.
• Installs, repairs and/or maintains all aspects of plumbing systems throughout the district, including gas, water, waste and vent systems.
• Repairs and/or replaces various plumbing fixtures or water, waste water or vent lines inside or outside of the buildings.
• Repairs and/or replaces storm drainage pipe and any new plumbing installation.
• Maintains all equipment used in plumbing department.
• Orders materials, plans jobs and estimates cost on limited basis.
• Demonstrates quality customer service daily.
• Is committed to working safely at all times.
• On-call nights and weekends.
