Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks a skilled plumber to maintain and repair district-wide plumbing systems, ensuring safe operation and code compliance. You will install fixtures, diagnose issues, and manage materials while coordinating with school staff and supervisors.

The role requires 3 years in plumbing, relevant certifications, and the ability to respond to emergencies across facilities. Salary ranges are provided and position is on-site.

Qualifications

  • Accredited high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Professional plumbing licenses or registrations as listed are preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years plumbing experience in district facilities is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test sewer, water, gas, and related systems per codes.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing malfunctions and document work orders.
  • Install fixtures such as sinks, water heaters, and valves with dimensional accuracy.
  • Manage material estimates, records, and supplies inventory.
  • Ensure job sites are clean and safe after completion.
  • Coordinate with principals and supervisors on district projects.
  • Respond to emergency calls and travel district-wide as needed.
