Job summary

Harborview Medical Center’s Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (HATC/SANE) seeks an experienced SANE to provide care for victims of sexual assault across multiple sites. This on-call role requires a 6x12-hour shift minimum per month and availability to respond within 45 minutes to Harborview and partner hospitals.

Applicants must be an RN with at least two years of experience, hold a WA nursing license (or MSL) and have graduated from an accredited nursing program

Qualifications

• Two or more years working as an RN.
• Must live in King County and within 45 min drive time to Harborview.
• Must hold a Washington state nursing license to practice or MSL.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult, adolescent and pediatric victims of sexual assault.
• Perform physical exams and forensic evidence collection.
• Respond to cases at Harborview and Valley Medical Center and other partner hospitals.
• Work on-call with a schedule of minimum six 12-hour shifts per month.
